January 13, 2017 “Recently SLHS successfully implemented Epic at 8 facilities and over 1,000 providers in a “big bang” approach. Epic rated the install at 4.5 on a 5.0 scale. This was a 2-year effort, with nearly 1,000 staff and executive leadership at all levels of the organization. Karen Scott and her team developed, organized and lead SLHS through this implementation. Their ability to plan and direct large complex projects at the C-suite level is outstanding. The plan considered all elements; technical, organizational readiness and user ownership, change management, and communications, just to name a few. There were limited surprises and course corrections were handled quickly, competently and professionally. Karen and her team's attention to detail and command of the project allowed executive leaders to trust in the process and lend their full support to it. As a member of the executive leadership team for this project I was impressed with their leadership and pleased with the final project outcome.
