I worked as a regional physician leader for the implementation of Epic in our 7 hospital health-care system. I was involved with hiring Karen and her team to work as the program manager for this large project. I worked closely with her and the team she assembled throughout the 2 year project. Our work involved the consolidation of dozens of applications and the restructuring of many IT solutions. Karen Scott and her team brought a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to the project work. Her team demonstrates abilities to manage multiple aspects of large projects with the necessary attention to detail and alignment of resources. They quickly proved themselves capable of delivering results according to deadlines and financial constraints. Karen was able to bring appropriate stakeholders together at all levels of our internal leadership in order to keep decision making moving forward. Their skills and abilities allowed leaders within our organization to expand and enhance their skills and abilities. Our project involved multiple layers of project managers, all of which were accountable ultimately to Karen and her team. They effectively recognized areas of need, were able to listen to our organizational leadership and respond with adjustments in the resources Karen and her team controlled. This ability to adapt and continue forward allowed for many deadlines to be met on time. Karen is able to provide the leadership necessary to keep many roles and responsibilities coordinated and operating cohesively. Our leadership team looked to Karen Scott and her team to account for the financial stewardship of this large project. They responded appropriately to expectations from multiple levels of our organization by providing regular budget updates and expense predictions. Karen and team helped in several areas beyond what was initially expected. Her staff proved a very valuable resource in some organizational changes within and associated with our information technology departments. In addition, their ability to help others grow as leaders will benefit our organization for years to come as multiple individuals were able to progress in their roles with the Karen and her team's advice and encouragement.
